As part of a long-standing working relationship with NBCU, AD has provided acoustic design and consulting services on numerous projects including:

• Studios at 30 Rockefeller Center New York including recent work on studio hosting The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Seth Meyers, and the WNBC News Studio
• 30 Rock Center work has included projection facilities for entertainment and news programming
• New studios and production facilities for NBC Sports Network in Stamford, CT
• Tonight Show Studio for Conan O’Brien at historic Stage 1 in Universal City, CA. 

Work has entailed close collaboration with production and engineering teams to integrate features to achieve stringent acoustic performance requirements while also preserve the historic nature of each building and stage.  Production space layouts incorporate large acoustic windows and complex constructions to enable visible connection between users and provide high levels of sound isolation.  Technically-oriented analysis has led to strategies and enhancements to minimize mechanical systems noise inside each studio and effectively isolate noise from exterior sources. Sound absorption testing conducted on existing acoustic wall treatments have been used to validate the re-use of existing treatments where possible, and incorporate new finishes meeting enhanced diffusion and absorption requirements where necessary.  Recommendations have been geared to achieve harmony between function, aesthetics and budget.
