Interior fit out of 110,000 SF office space supported relocation of offices and operations for New York City public television affiliate Channel 13.   The project involved two floors of a multi-story office building in midtown Manhattan.  100% open workstation format eliminated all private offices to provide easy re-configuration to accommodate ebb and flow of interns and shifting programming needs. Collaboration spaces included flexible team rooms, small huddle rooms and general conference rooms of varying sizes.  Production spaces included 14 edit rooms, control rooms, studio and related technical facilities.

Acoustic services addressed sound sensitive spaces with particular attention to sound isolation issues, noise and vibration control and low background noise levels.  Care was given to address high levels of speech privacy for huddle rooms and conference rooms and excellent speech intelligibility in conference and meeting rooms.  Project entailed an aggressive budget and 7-month schedule.

Flexibility was a driving factor for design of open work area, collaboration spaces and production facilities and required a strategic approach to providing acoustic separations for noise-sensitive areas.
